Wall eyed skewbald horse – Day 2
This drawing is part of my 30-days drawing challenge, in which I’ll try to make a new drawing/painting daily.
I really liked the effect of the watercolor om my painting from last time, so I decided to use it again. This time on a beautiful skewbald horse with a wall eye.
I started off sketching the rough outline as can be seen below.

After that I started with giving the horse a primer layer of brown paint, to give an indication of where the skewbald spots were supposed to be. I also started with the wall eye, because the eyes always give character to your work, and I like the way an eye changes an image. By coloring the eye the entire painting seems to come alive.

After that I finished the entire painting. Adding color to the manes, finishing the eye, creating shadows.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the result. Day 3 here I come!
